Who I Am
My name is Alex, and like Dr. King, I have a dream. My dream is to help children all over the United States to realize their goals of prospering and building a bright future. The medium I've chosen to use is athletics. I have participated and excelled in every athletic endeavor I've chosen to pursue. Athletics paid for my college. Athletics kept me out of trouble when I was younger. Athletics gave me confidence in myself that no one could take away. That is what I want to give to the youth of today.
I currently attend Life.Church and have worked with middle school and high school aged children. Working with kids and my love for God are my two greatest passions outside my family. Using my athletic ability allows me to bless others in the same way I was blessed growing up. |
My History
I played basketball and volleyball at the University of Central Oklahoma. I also played basketball and volleyball at Edmond Santa Fe High School, where I still hold several records. Hard work, determination, and a willingness to never give up on your dreams can lead you places you never really believed you could go. Some of the greatest people in the world were first known as failures before they were finally able to succeed. I have failed many times over, yet through grace and hard work, I have been able to overcome life's obstacles and rise to the occasion each time. We all need people around us who will give us a friendly push when needed. I aim to be that person for this next generation.
My brother, Josh Richardson, is also a guard for the Philadelphia 76ers. We are a competitive family by nature, and we all share a passion for giving back. |
